Structure & Membership

The structure of our church is designed to be as simple, flexible and practical as possible and consists of:

Pastors - Bangor Elim has three Pastors - Pastor Davy Beckett, Pastor Gary Beattie and Pastor Hugh Moore - who are appointed by the Irish Executive of the Elim Movement in consultation with the Elders of the church. Our Pastors are responsible for the services and leadership of the church as a whole.

Elders - we currently have four elders, who are appointed by the existing Elders and Pastors of the church. They join with the Pastors in the spiritual leadership of the church. Their place is reviewed by the church session every five years.

The Church Session - consists of Pastors and Elders who meet on a regular basis.

Church Members - by becoming a member of Bangor Elim you become part of a team in the service of God. Just as in any family, there are many and varied tasks to do - every single member has a distinct role and every one is essential.
