What's our purpose?

Prayer is central to life in our church.  We believe that through prayer we have an opportunity to communicate directly with God, and that he listens to and answers our prayers.  Prayer is a lifeline - an integral and essential part of Christian life.

Here in Bangor Elim we have seen numerous answers to prayer. We have seen many people coming to faith in Jesus, others being healed from illness and many seemingly impossible situations being completely turned around.

We know that the Bible has recorded many times the importance of praying and our need to pray, but we have also learned through experience that prayer is not just important - it is vital to everything that we do.
