Dear Supporters,
Please can you pray for the church in Cebu. As you may know, Cora and I are in the UK at the moment – I was chatting with one of our pastors yesterday online and she informed me that Cebu was hit by a bad storm last Saturday. In Portland, where the main church is situated, two bridges, one of which the church constructed, were badly damaged due to the flood water - Livestock and some homes were washed away.
As you may know, we are in the middle of building our new premises and have yet to construct a building for the children’s ministry. Each Sunday we have to use gazebos for the children to operate under until the classrooms are built - last Saturday, unfortunately, the gazebos were out and the rain completely destroyed them. Now the children have nowhere to hold their classes. We thank God that on Sunday the rain cleared and the children were able to have their classes outside, but now that we are in the rainy season, this is not an ideal situation.
Please pray that we receive the finances to complete the classrooms and also that the rain hold’s off until we can move the children inside.
