Taking a year out? Want to use that time to serve God?

At Bangor Elim Church we have had a Youth Internship Programme running from 2005, giving those wanting to take a year out the opportunity to serve in the day to day running of the youth ministry and as part of our youth team. It’s a great opportunity for anyone looking to take a year out to serve God, learn new skills, develop existing skills and gain ministry experience within a church based youth ministry.

Being a part of the team includes…

The main focus of the internship is to assist the Youth Leader in running the youth ministry. This will include:

-         Assisting in the running of our youth programmes: Friday Night Live, Sunday Night Live, Re:mix, Boys/Girls Nights and Youth Share & Prayer groups. Alongside this there will be opportunities to help develop relationships with the young people from our estate outreaches and uniformed organisations.

-         Administration: Helping with the daily duties and maintaining our youth facilities

-         Website updates, planning of weekends away, summer trips and days out, etc.

-         Schools work: RE Classes, Scripture Unions and other events that run throughout the year

-         Churches: working with local churches, youth groups and communities

-         Events: From time to time we have special events. Part of the role of the Youth Intern will be to assist the organising and practicalities of any such events.

And finally…

Alongside your investment into the youth ministry and the young people we work with, we will give the opportunity to receive accredited training, £25 per week bursary and other general expenses (extra travel etc.).
